The Kooks, ‘Always Where I Need to Be’

How the Kooks became so popular puzzles me a lot; ok, they have a couple of songs that would surely rock a campfire (she moves in her own way..Oh La…) but hell! if this band would have appeared at the height of the Britpop era, they’d have ended up supporting Shed Seven.

The best thing that can be said about this derivative slice of sunshine pop is that it’s short and wouldn’t be out of place in a Supergrass b-side compilation.
And yes, it is not the worst shit in the charts right now, but feck I can’t stand the singer.

Thumbs Down.
